Surgery

My surgery was more complicated than expected. My poor family and friends were anxiously waiting to hear something good.
Dr Farzan had finished the robotic surgery, but I continued to bleed, so I was cut open vertically and ended up in a 9.5 hour long surgery, with 8 units of blood.
I had over 40 lymph nodes removed.
Recovery included ICU for a few days, and now in a private room. I've been up walking and pain is decreasing, but will probably be here for another day.
My pathology report showed there was NO cancer in any lymph nodes or surrounding tissue. Yes, it's true and I will repeat : no cancer found in my body!
It would be nice to drop this blog at this, but being the aggressive and fast growing cancer that small cell is; I will still have to undergo possible radiation. My doctor told me to focus on getting my strength back and healing in the next 4 weeks, before we take that route. That's what I intend on doing - focus on healing.
It's such a buzz kill that I can't just celebrate being cancer-free, that I still have the possibility of this tricky cancer hiding.
So, there is the rest I the story ..... From my mouth.
(Fingers)
Thanks for all of your prayer and support.

Love to you all!
