Pay it forward!

I Finished my 18th treatment this past week to finish 6 rounds of chemotherapy under my belt (literally). I was switched from cisplatin/etoposide to carboplatin/etoposide, because I'm experiencing hearing loss and constant ringing in my ears, along with some other side effects. It sounds like I've just left an amazing concert standing right next to the speakers. (Had to throw in a "visual") I have an appointment to have that checked out on December 18.

If loosing some of my hearing was what had to happen to beat cancer, I will accept that. I would like to know that it will possibly get better. Time will tell.

I went to the hospital to have IV fluids on Friday. It was a great idea! It really has helped me after treatment. Being dehydrated makes everything more difficult. I wasn't stubborn this time, and knew I needed it!

I have a hard time accepting and asking for help. What has been so assuring to me during this "cancer adventure" is how I've never had to ask, the prayers, words, and deeds all just came. It opened my heart to how beautiful peoples souls are! I'm on a new adventure, now....one to remember to always "pay it forward." Thank you all, again, you lifted me when I couldn't keep my face up, you asked God for my prayer. Thank you soooo much!

I will have my pet scan on December 31, New Years Eve! This will show the progress the chemo made on my tumor and margins. I have HOPE that my body is completely healed! My master physician (JESUS) knows and I have all my trust in Him and His loving hands, which are good ones to be in!
I will meet with my gyn/onc on January 8 to see what my next step(s) will be.

All this being said, I'm looking FORWARD......not looking back.......

I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly
I'll do what it takes ‘til I touch the sky
And I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change
And breakaway

Out of the darkness and into the sun
But I won't forget all the ones that I loved
I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change
And breakaway

I have peach fuzz trying to grown on my bald head. It's crazy and goes all directions. Never thought I would've so happy to see crazy hair in my life! I welcome it! The warrior Mohawk will be back......you wait and see!!!
