Psalm 37: 4-7
Take delight in the Lord,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this:
He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn,
your vindication like the noonday sun.
Be still before the Lord
and wait patiently for him;
I spent most of last week in limbo to whether my insurance would accept
this new treatment,(clinical trial) or if I was going to have to try
something else. Getting to Houston is a big deal! I knew I needed blood work, ecocardiogram and EKG before starting the medication. I had
invested most of my energy to this treatment, and once again found
myself doing the WAITING game. A game I've become familiar with
throughout my diagnoses, but one I would rather do without. Once again, crying out to God for some patience and understanding, knowing His timing is always right.
Psalm 40:1
I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry.
My friend, "frister" (friend/sister) Thedra, had been by my side all week, keeping me sane, keeping us busy, at the same time keeping on top of the hospital and insurance. When I felt like just getting in bed and making "IT" all go away, she kept me focused.
Psalm 27:14
Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!
On Thursday morning, we still hadn't heard any news. "Let's go out for lunch." I knew I was scheduled to fly out that evening. "Don't change your flight just yet, we will give them until 2:30 (pm)"
While ordering, I got a call from Jay telling me it was approved and to head to Houston! Thedra and I hugged, cried, and danced with joy, so did the girls behind the counter who didn't know my story until then.
It was an amazing moment! We headed to Houston on Thursday, ready for my appointments on Friday, that were still being penciled in.
Psalm 86:15
But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.
Friday, my appointments went easily and without skipping a beat. One right after the other. Great timing!!!!
Once again, I'm humbled to my MIGHTY FATHER who proves He answers prayers in His time.
Psalm 2:4-5
May he give you the desire of your heart
and make all your plans succeed. May we shout for joy over your victory
and lift up our banners in the name of our God.May the Lord grant all your requests.
I'm waiting now for medication #2 to arrive by Federal Express tomorrow. I will start taking both of them each day for 2 weeks, and then head back to Houston for more tests and check up.
Thank you, prayer warriors. Know that I did not do this alone. I know that I have strength in numbers!!!
PRAISE HIM...........with a PSALM IN YOUR HEART!!!!!
Psalm 21:13
Be exalted in your strength, Lord;
we will sing and praise your might.

Big hug
