The long and winding road

Today I met with my gyn/oncologist. I will not say it was the news I wanted to hear, but I am accepting that my long and winding road has a few more bumps.
I was evaluated and will have 3 more rounds of chemo ahead of me. My tumor has shrunk, but having surgery is not an option right now for a "quick fix" for the type of cancer I have. (I was hoping that was going to be the solution) This darn small cell cervical cancer - it's so complicated! Although it is responding to the chemo, we have to continue to attack it aggressively. I can't take a chance that it is anywhere else and we want it to continue to shrink! I have all confidence in my doctor and his colleges who are from all over the country at the largest cancer centers. I have the upmost trust in my doctor and my nurses at Harrington Cancer Center.

This all being said, I continue to ask for your prayers and I will stay strong!

I will be watching you all as you hike and run the path tomorrow evening. My immune system isn't strong enough to be around a lot of people and the cold air. I would want to hug every single one of you because that is just the way I am! I will be parked by the bow hunters by the trail honking and waving to all of you!!!! I'm sure with tears rolling down my face. You all have touched my life and continue to bless me! Heartfelt thanks!
